Video Production Intern (Editing)

Rangiora, with the ability to travel up to 4 weeks away from home.

Initially this is a volunteer position but may lead to a paid position in the future.

32 hours per week but could involve more when traveling.

Monday to Thursday with some weekend and public holidays work as required.

6 months.

The Mountain Meadows Charitable Trust (MMCT) is a faith-based Christian ministry based out of Rangiora. Our mission is to shine the light out into this dark world. We do this in two ways.
• We create media resource that support and assist people in developing good character, healthful lives and positive attitudes. 
• We provide service, training and opportunities that prepare people for, and support people during, adversity in their life.
MMCT under is media division “Revelation18 Media” (REV18) runs a video and audio production company. REV18 produces media content for several organisations, individuals, in-house use, TV, and social media. Last year we provided over 100 locally produced programs for FirstLight. This year we are on track to do the same.

The position::

Revelation18 Media is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Video Production Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in producing compelling content. You will Gain hands-on experience in

  • Editing and grading content. (the main focus of this position is editing to broadcast standards).
  • Audio and lighting setup.
  • Using programs like Adobe Premiere, After Effects and photoshop.
  • Production planning and scheduling.
  • Concept design.
  • Live production.
  • Behind camera and maybe some in front of camera work.

Key Capabilities required for this position:

  • Passion for video/audio production.
  • Some understanding of editing methodology
  • A good understanding of computer systems. (essential)
  • A good understanding of social media
  • An eye for composition.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Fast learner
  • Flexible attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of footage logs and organize and maintain digital archiving system.
  • Agree with the MMCT’s purpose and mission statement

Skills:

  • Intermediate to advanced skill in Adobe Premer, After effects and other Adobe products (or the ability to learn them quickly. We can train you).
  • Graphic design and colour grading skill an advantage.
  • The ability to use and setup video cameras or DSLR cameras, audio recording equipment, and setup lighting an advantage.
  • Self-motivated Responsible, and Accountable, Maintaining a Positive Attitude.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Networking skills.
  • Excellent team member and teachable.
  • The ability to fly drones.
  • Some understanding of sound

Other information:

To the right person, accommodation is available with food for meals provided. There will be meals available sometimes, but this is not a fully catered position.
You will be asked to help with household chores like cooking and cleaning etc. and you will need to do your own washing.

When we travel requiring overnight stays, accommodation and meals are provided.
