Revelation18 Media upgrade project 26

In Brief

Revelation 18 Media needs to upgrade some of its equipment to increase our capabilities and replace equipment nearing its end-of-life.

Our operation is mobile meaning we can record and stream anywhere anytime.

The essential upgrade is stage one. This stage gives us the ability to handle the large events coming up next year. We will use this equipment all the time.

For this to happen, we need your help.

You can donate to stages or items within each stage.

Our work is expanding - during 2025 we produced over 130 programmes and in 2026 we expect to produce up to 190 programmes. That is over 3 programs per week.

Overview

Revelation18 Media serves as the media division of The Mountain Meadows Charitable Trust, a faith-based Christian ministry with over ten years of establishment. Mountain Meadows is a registered charity in New Zealand (Cc28699). The Trust is directed by a board of trustees, with the Chief Executive Officer responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the organisation.

Our Mission is producing content that is uplifting, inspirational, educational, and suitable for families, while also providing evidence supporting the existence of God and His plan for humanity’s salvation.

Each year, we produce more than 130 programs for Christian television audiences in New Zealand and worldwide.

We specialise in filming and live streaming events, supplying audio-visual equipment for various occasions, producing documentaries, recording testimonies and talks, and creating promotional content for television. Our mobile studio enables us to deliver these services on-site.

By delivering programs that spread hope worldwide, we offer an indispensable service. We are one of the few Christian organisations that are doing this type of work in New Zealand.

To continue and improve our work, we depend on your financial support.

Our Needs

Revelation18 Media has been filming up and down the country for nearly 10 years.

With each new year we are finding that we are getting more work with new challenges. 2026 looks like it will be one of our busiest. This is a good thing but the offshoot of this is that some of our equipment is now nearing the end of its life cycle and needs replacing. We have some large events coming up early next year making it essential that we upgrade some of our equipment.

Stages of Project

The plan is to upgrade in 4 stages over the next two and half years.

Stage 1 is essential so we can continue our quality services and manage large events. This needs to happen in early 2026

Stage 2 is dealing with equipment that is now nearing the end of its life cycle

Stage 3 gives us the ability to run operations out of our trailer or in another location at an event. (Not being in the same room as the event).

Stage 4 is upgrading our audio capabilities.

Each of these stages are standalone and with donors being able to donate to any of the stages and items within the stages. with the optic fibre upgrade in stage one being essential

Stage 1 – Optic Fibre upgrade (part 1) this stage is essential

Our SDI cables are starting to fail. (We have been using them for the last 7 years.)

We have decided to upgrade to an optic fibre system and upgrade our vision mixer

The benefits are:

  • Lighter cables
  • Longer distances
  • Less cables needed per camera (one cable instead of 2)
  • Easier to run one cable to the front of the venue for data projector or TVs
  • Faster setup
  • Easier ability to upgrade the system
  • The vision mixer upgrade helps us handle bigger events.

This stage includes cables, converters and an ATEM vision mixer.

Cost of Stage 1

Optic fibre upgrade   $12,250.00   -  essential
ATEM vision mixer upgrade     $  7,828.00
   Total           $20,075.00

Stage 2 – Camera Upgrade

  • The ability to control the camera functions from operations
  • Parfocal Lenses stay in-focus through all of the lenses range
  • Broadcast lenses
  • Faster setup
  • Zoom function on lenses (makes more dynamic shoots)
  • Ability to change lenses depending on our needs

   tripods and accessories  $  9,400.00
    Total  $32,947.00

Stage 3 – Optic Fibre and Equipment Upgrade (part 2)

In this stage we extended stage 1 by adding the ability to mix video from out of our trailer or another room in a event. We will also upgrade some of other equipment. Like computers, network and mass storage. Our computer is now 6 years old and starting to show its age.

The benefits are:

  • Ability to vision mix from anywhere.
  • More flexibility in mixing locations
  • Faster computer with the latest technology
  • More storage space for raw video.
  • Faster network switch

Cost of Stage 3

             Optic fibre upgrade 2  $ 10,062.00
   Cable and accessories  $   4,000.00
   Equipment upgrades  $   9,500.00
   Total  $ 23,562.00

Stage 4 – Audio Upgrade

We have a need to upgrade our audio capabilities going to a Dante system.

The benefits are:

  • ability to mix audio for large and small locations
  • ability to run audio out of our trailer for life streaming and recording
  • more wireless microphones
  • better integrated sound system
  • easier to expand system
